Hi. Please next time don't use infinite keyint. There is absolutely no benefits, you can whatever ask x264 developers or do tests yourself. However there is problems with that. Seeking is very bad. min_keyint=1 is also bad.

In some cases it can take up to 15 seconds to seek to selected point on timeline even with core i7 cpu! This is because you can't seek to random point without decoding all previous frames in current GOP.

There's no problem with min_keyint=1, x264 will just use IDR in *true* scene cut and there's no need for i frame, also there're some decoders treating i frame as I frame which is completely wrong.
As for keyint=infinite, personally I seldom seek, and I use qpfile to force it to use IDR in chapters' starting time so there's no problem with seeking chapters. On the other side, it is better to use IDR only in scene cut, but I still admit that it will give unpleasant experience while seeking in long GOP.

I understand that we don't want to seek very often, but why lose ability to do so if infinite keyint is completely useless.
Yes there is no problem with min keyint. "bad" is probably not good way to describe it. I mean it also gives no benefits.
